MAT CALLAGHAN

Self Shooting Series Director, PD and Camera Op with a wealth of experience on some of the UK’s best loved, most watched, award winning factual television. I have researched, written, directed and filmed for daytime and primetime for all the major UK networks as well as non linear online channels.

I began my career as a globe trotting video journalist for CNN and then spent 5 years travelling the world for BBC Holiday before moving to become one of the original team at The ONE Show. In 2010 I hopped channels and spent 4 years of very early mornings at ITV Breakfast. Since then I have worked on a wide variety of well known Factual and FactEnt formats for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five.

In 2018 I relocated from London to Belfast - my wife's hometown! Since the move I have worked on major productions for BBC, RTE and several local indies. Recent delivery of the brand new Sony FX6 has revolutionised my workflow and capabilities and I am delighted we can offer a one stop, top notch service to anyone looking to film in Northern Ireland.
